As a licensed Kindermusik educator, private flute instructor and chamber music teacher, my students range from 3 months old to 70 years old. I have been an educator for the majority of my music career, spanning over a decade.
Students of all ages and levels are welcome! Openings have recently become available in my lesson studio, so please contact me if you are interested in having a lesson.
Depending on the student, lessons range from half an hour to a full hour, and cover the following material: warm-ups, scales, etudes, solo material, duets, sight-reading and orchestral repertoire. The lessons are catered the individual needs of the student, and recitals are given every three months.
All students are expected to work hard, but have a great time doing it! Music is, and should be, an enjoyable experience. While it is certainly important to work hard and challenge yourself on a daily basis, it is also necessary to remember why we do music- because we love it! Expect to have a fun and challenging lesson while you are studying with me.
For grade level students, the sooner you start taking lessons, the better- you’ll never have to fix bad habits if you start off with good ones!
For adults, it’s never to late to learn a new instrument, or start practicing it again after a long “flute vacation.” I know that finding the time can be a challenge, but we will work together to find the best practice routine and lesson schedule for you.
